CCTV Drain
Survey

Not sure what's going on with your drains? A camera will tell us. Most drain problems aren't visible from the surface. A CCTV drain survey is the quickest, least invasive way to find out exactly what's happening inside your pipework — and plan the right fix.

At South Coast Drains, we carry out CCTV drain surveys for homeowners, homebuyers, and landlords across the South Coast and London. We send you a clear report of what we found — no jargon, no flannel.

The Process

What Does A CCTV Survey Involve?

We lower a remote-controlled camera into the drain and guide it through the full pipe run. The camera sends back live HD footage so we can inspect the condition of the pipe, spot any damage or blockages, and record exactly where any issues are located. We can survey pipes from 50mm up to 2000mm in diameter. The whole process is non-invasive — no digging required.

What We Look For

What Can A CCTV Survey Find?

  • Blockages and build-up (grease, roots, debris)
  • Cracks, fractures, or collapsed sections of pipe
  • Root ingress
  • Displaced joints
  • Corrosion or deterioration
  • Evidence of rodent activity
  • Problems with pitch fibre or clay pipes in older properties

Who Needs One?

Who Benefits From A CCTV Survey?

Homebuyers

If you're buying a property — especially an older one — a drain survey before you exchange gives you peace of mind and useful negotiating information. We'll give you a written report to take to your solicitor or use in price discussions.

Homeowners

Recurring blockages, bad smells, or soggy ground in the garden are all signs something isn't right underground. A CCTV survey takes the guesswork out of it.

Landlords

Regular drain surveys are a sensible part of property maintenance — catching small problems before they become expensive ones, and keeping tenants happy.
